Purolator Tackle Hunger
As part of Purolator’s larger commitment to help alleviate hunger in Canada, our award-winning program, Purolator Tackle Hunger, collects donations in the form of food and cash for local food banks in Canadian Football League (CFL) cities across Canada. In partnership with the Canadian Football League and Food Banks Canada, Purolator Tackle Hunger has helped deliver 3.7 million pounds of food to local food banks throughout Canada since 2003. The program is designed to get Purolator employees, Purolator customers as well as Canadian football fans, excited about and committed to alleviating hunger in their local community.
At one game in every CFL city, Purolator organizes a fan food drive and fundraiser, where fans are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items or a cash donation to the Purolator employee volunteers stationed at the stadium. In return, fans have the chance to get their picture taken with the Grey Cup.
